December 21: “A Christmas Miracle” Dinner Theater

Christ for the World International, 4401 Windsor Drive in Fort Smith will host a Dinner Theatre, “A Christmas Miracle”, Sunday, December 21st at 3:00 pm.

December 21: 1st Annual Pedal For Presents

The First Annual “Pedal For Presents” will be held at Springhill Park, 1700 Lock and Dam Road in Barling, on Sunday, December 21st beginning at 3:00 pm. Entry fee is one up wrapped present or a monetary donation to the Salvation Army of Fort Smith. Bon fire after the ride with free hot dogs and ole time Christmas carols!  ThingstodoinFortSmith.com, area mountain bike enthusiasts, First National Bank of Fort Smith along with Champion Cycling, Phat Tire Bike Shop, and Scott’s Bike Shop in Fort Smith are teaming up to help the less fortunate this holiday season!   For more information call 452-4598.

Now thru December 22: Hearts of Gold Campaign

Project Compassion, 1205 South Albert Pike, in the Saint Scholastica Retreat Center, Room 110, is collecting items for area nursing home residents from now until December 22nd. Bring an unwrapped gift to Project Compassion or any Simmons Bank location. It’s the 2014 Hearts of Gold Campaign, providing Christmas for nursing home residents. Now thru December 25: Alma Trail of Lights

The trail of lights in the Alma Aquatic Park will run through December 25th nightly from 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated and will go to the Alma Community Outreach Center. For more information call Bo Harvey at 670-2931.

Now thru December 31: Library Books for Christmas

Honor someone special and share the love of reading by donating to the “Perfect Gift: Library Books for Christmas” program. Visit any Fort Smith Library location to choose a book to add to the library’s collection in honor or memory of someone special. Children’s books are $10, adult books are $25. Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used for the purchase of new library materials.

Now thru December 31: FSPL Holiday Food Drive

The Fort Smith Public Library is holding its Annual Holiday Food Drive, now through December 31st. All food collected will go to the Community Clearinghouse to help fight hunger this holiday season. Drop off non-perishable food items at any Fort Smith library location through December 31st. For more information call 783-0229.
