July 25-27: Christmas in July Fundraiser
St. John’s Episcopal Church, 215 N. 6th St. in Fort Smith, will host “Christmas in July”, July 25 & 26 from 10am – 6pm, and July 27th from 12:30p – 5:00pm. Vendors will have art, pottery, clothing, food items, jewelry and much more. BBQ, drinks, and sno cones will be available, and many area authors will be on hand for book sales and signings. July 26: Yard Sale/Bake Sale Fundraiser
Calvary Assembly of God, 1700 Jackson St. in Fort Smith, will hold a Yard Sale Fundraiser, Saturday, July 26th from 8:00am – 2:00pm in the parking lot of the Church. Proceeds will go to cover the cost of attending the “All of Me Kids Conference”.
July 26: “Lost in the ’50s” Fundraiser
The “Lost in the ’50s” fundraiser, to be held Saturday, July 26th at 6pm at the King Opera House, 427 Main St. in Van Buren, will feature tribute artists to Buddy Holly, Ricky Nelson, The Platters, Patsy Cline, Brenda Lee, Connie Francis, and others. This event benefits the Wounded Warriors program, which provides financial assistance and moral support to area wounded military veterans. Reserved tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling 649-8803.
July 31: FSPL Arts & Crafts Afternoon
Visit the Dallas Branch Library, 8100 Dallas St., Thursday July 31st for a FREE program featuring a variety of different craft projects from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. All materials will be provided for you to show off your creative side at this fun open house style event for kids of all ages. July 31: FSPL Movie Matinee
Bring the family and your own refreshments (or pick something up from Dewey’s Café!) for the Fort Smith library’s free Summer Movie Matinee, “The Croods”, Thursday, July 31st at 3201 Rogers Avenue at 2:00pm. After their cave is destroyed, a caveman family must trek through an unfamiliar fantastical world with the help of an inventive boy in this animated adventure comedy. The Croods is rated PG.
