Fort Smith Town Hall Meeting – March 3, 2015

Tuesday, March 3, immediately following the City of Fort Smith board of directors’ regular meeting, Mayor Sandy Sanders and members of the board of directors will conduct a monthly town hall meeting, designed to provide citizens with an opportunity to present policy ideas for the betterment of Fort Smith, to ask policy questions to members of the board, or to lodge complaints that have not been resolved by staff to the citizen’s satisfaction.  These town hall sessions occur monthly at the board’s first business meeting of each month. Unless otherwise noted on the City Board Meetings tab off the Board of Directors page on the City of Fort Smith’s website, these meetings occur at:  Fort Smith Public Schools Service Center, 3205 Jenny Lind Road, Building B.  Board meetings begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. and are televised.

The CALL Meeting - March 9, 2015

The CALL is having its March meeting Monday, March 9th at Central Christian Church, 400 North Waldron Road in Ft. Smith.

Do-It-Yourself Tech Craft – March 10, 2015

A Do-It-Yourself Tech Craft program for Teens will be held at the Fort Smith Public Library on Tuesday, March 10, from 3 – 5 PM. Show off your crafty side using discarded computer parts and tech recyclables: make projects using provided materials or bring your own ideas and materials to share with the group. Bring a friend and help us celebrate Teen Tech Week at the Library. The Fort Smith Public Library is located at 3201 Rogers Avenue. 2nd Annual River Valley Endurance Run – March 14, 2015

The start is at the corner of Darby and Ellis. This is a half marathon and 5K benefitting The Marine Corps League, Young Marines, and Toys for Tots. The half marathon course (USATF Certification # AR 1003DLP) and 5K course (USATF Certification # AR 1004DLP) are both certified. Both races will be timed by JAYMAX Race Timing Services. Awards will be given to top male and female in both races and top three male and female finishers in the following age categories:  14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-59, 70 & Over for more information, visit http://www.eventbrite.com/e/river-valley-endurance-run-half-marathon-and-5k-registration-9089307363?aff=eac2  T-shirts are guaranteed to runners who register prior to March 1, 2014.  Half Marathon participants will receive a medal.
